Bajaj Auto has launched the disc brake variant of the V12 motorcycle in the Indian market. The newly launched motorcycle gets front disc brake and there is not other changes made to the V12.
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has launched the disc brake variant of the V12 in the Indian market. Previously Bajaj launched the V12 with drum brake setup and customers urged for the need of a disc brake.
The Bajaj V12 disc brake variant is priced at Rs 60,000 Ex-showroom (Delhi). The newly launched motorcycle is dearer by Rs 3,000 compared to the drum brake variant of the V12.
Apart from the front disc brake, Bajaj has made no changes to the motorcycle. The V12 continues to draw power from a 124.45cc single cylinder, air cooled DTS-i engine.
The engine produces 10.5bhp and 10.9Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox delivering power to the rear wheel.
The Bajaj V12 shares its components from its elder sibling the V15. But the V12 gets black mudguard, revamped paint stripes and slimmer tube tyres. The front forks are also slimmer measuring 30mm.
The Bajaj V12 also misses out on the LED tell-tale lights on the instrument cluster. The V12 is equipped with a 13-litre fuel tank, and the kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at 133kg.
