Aprilia To Launch Two Motorcycles In India By August 2017
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia will be launching two motorcycles in the Indian market. The launch is likely to happen by August 2017.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Aprilia is all set to launch two motorcycles in the Indian market. The two models are the Shiver 900 and the Dorsoduro 900.
According to a report from Autocar India, Aprilia will launch the Shiver 900 and Dorsoduro 900 in the country by July or August 2017. The Shiver is a naked motorcycle, whereas the Dorsoduro is a dual-sport adventure motorcycle.
Aprilia launched the Shiver 900 and the Dorsoduro 900 in the global market earlier this year. Both the models were launched to replace the 750cc variants of the motorcycles.
The Aprilia Dorsoduro is already being sold in India but with a 1,200cc motor. The Shiver 900 will be an all-new motorcycle for the Indian market.
The Shiver 900 and the Dorsoduro 900 draws power from 896cc V-twin engines churning out 95.2bhp and 90Nm of peak torque. The motorcycles feature 41mm Kayaba upside-down forks up front and adjustable mono shock suspension at the rear.
Both the motorcycles will feature better electronics compared to the 750 variant. The new models will feature ABS as standard, switchable traction control, three power modes - sport, touring and rain and Bluetooth infotainment system for connecting smartphone.
Both the Aprilia motorcycles will be imported from Italy. The Shiver 900 and the Dorsoduro 900 lock horns against the likes of Ducati Monster 821 and Hypermotard 939. Both the models is likely to carry a price tag of around Rs 13 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
