Aprilia stunned the Indian market a year ago when the company showcased the SR 150 scooter at the Auto Expo. The pricing of the scooter, Rs 65,000 ex-showroom (Delhi) created an even bigger stir, making the scooter a desirable product.
Now, just months after the launch, Aprilia has come up with the Race Edition of the Aprilia SR 150, priced at Rs 70,288 ex-showroom (Mumbai). The Aprilia SR 150 Race edition receives mechanical, as well as cosmetic updates, although the overall design remains the same.
Pointing out the cosmetic updates, the SR 150 Race Edition features a Maze Grey body colour, along with sporty decals inspired by the Aprilia MotoGP motorcycle, that will help people differentiate the new scooter from the regular SR 150 from a mile away.
Other changes include red alloy wheels, golden brake calliper up front, red suspension spring at the rear, and a black rubber foot mat with red elements.
Speaking about the engine, the Aprilia SR 150 race edition has the standard 154.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine makes 10bhp and 11.4Nm of torque. Aprilia has tweaked the gearing, which has made the acceleration quicker, but maintaining the same power output.
Other features remain the same, such as the telescopic front forks, 14-inch wheels, 220mm front disc, 140mm rear drum, dual tone seat, and the 120/70 section tyres. The Aprilia SR 150 Race is no doubt a sporty scooter, as the image gallery below proves.
