Spotted: Aprilia SR 150 Race Edition; Launch On February 9
The Aprilia SR 150 was launched in India for an unbelievable price of Rs 65,000 ex-showroom (Delhi).
Italian two-wheeler manufacturer is planning to launch another scooter under the SR series, the SR 150 Race edition in India. Emerging reports suggests that the race edition will hit the showroom floors on February 9.
The SR 150 Race edition was spotted testing before on the Indian roads. Now, TeamBHP has shared three images of the race version. From the images, it is clear there are some cosmetic add-ons and apart from that, the model looks the same as the regular version.
The Aprilia SR 150 Race edition features MotoGP-inspire racing decals and colour scheme, gold front brake caliper, red alloy wheel at both ends and red-painted rear shock absorber spring.
Powering the SR 150 Race edition is the same 154.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 10.4bhp of power and 11.4Nm of torque mated to a CVT unit. The current SR 150 has claimed the ‘Scooter of the Year' title on five occasions in the last two months.
Up front, the scooter is equipped with telescopic forks and at the rear a single-sided coil spring. The SR 150 Race edition will ride on alloy wheels shod with 120/70 tyres. The braking duties are carried out by a single 220mm disc up front, along with a 140mm drum at the rear.
The Aprilia SR 150 was launched in India for an unbelievable price of Rs 65,000 ex-showroom (Delhi). We can expect the Race edition to be a pricier than the current SR 150. The Italian crossover scooter is manufactured at Piaggio's Baramati Plant in Maharashtra, along with the Vespa range of scooters.
