2017 KTM Duke 200 Spied Ahead Of India Launch
The 2017 iteration of the smallest KTM motorcycle in India, the Duke 200 has been spotted testing in India ahead of its launch with minor cosmetic updates.
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM's Indian wing have already revealed that the new 2017 range of Duke motorcycles will be launched on February 23, 2017, in the Indian market.
It is already confirmed that the 2017 KTM Duke 390 will be launched in India, whereas there are a lot of speculations going on about the introduction of its smaller sibling, the Duke 200.
To put an end to the rumours, Motoroids have spotted the Duke 200 being tested in India with the camouflage livery and few other cosmetic updates.
The 2017 iteration of the smallest Duke in India features the same black frame with an orange sub-frame and the same instrument cluster as the current-gen model. The spy shots reveal that the new Duke 200 does not get ABS.
The updates on the 2017 KTM Duke 200 include newly designed seat, fuel tank integrated ignition key and the pillion grab rail integrated into the rear panel. Apart from that, the new Duke 200 also misses out on the LED headlamps, but will feature a halogen headlamp with LED DRLs.
Another major highlight of the 2017 Duke 200 is the side mounted exhaust which replaces the quirky underbelly exhaust. The new naked street fighter will be powered by BS-IV compliant 199.5cc liquid cooled engine producing 25bhp and 19.2Nm of torque.
Although there is no change in the power figures, the engine is expected to be more refined compared to the currently sold Duke 200. All our questions will be answered on February 23. Stay tuned to DriveSpark, as we bring you all the updates from the launch of the new Duke series.
