Yamaha Establishes Its Second R&D Centre In India

Yamaha's Research & Development has announced the establishment of its second R&D Centre in India today.
The new Centre is set-up near the premises of India Yamaha Motor's facility in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu.
The new Centre is established aiming towards maximum utilization of resources at both its locations and focus on the improvement of its capability and the capacity.
A total of Rs. 66 crores have been invested to set-up the center and it is a portion of the Rs. 1,500 crore that Yamaha has committed to 'Make in India'.
Currently, Yamaha's plan is to develop products which fit the Indian & Global customer requirements, carry the brand's legacy of Performance, Innovation, and Design.
In India, Yamaha's R&D will develop, purchase and do cost innovation. The new R&D Centre will be a state-of-the-art facility including the prototype testing & validation, and it will have a test track simulating the Indian Road condition.
