Yamaha FZ-S & Fazer Discontinued On Indian Website
Yamaha Motor India has now discontinued two popular motorcycles from its portfolio. The FZ-S and Fazer carbureted models are being discontinued in the Indian market. Both models have already been removed from Yamaha India's official website.
Previously, Yamaha India was offering the FZ-S and Fazer models with both fuel-injection and carburettor options. The Japanese manufacturer, however, realised that customers were opting for the more fuel efficient option and wanted newer and cleaner machines.
Powering the FZ-S and Fazer was a 153cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine produced a healthy 13.81bhp, along with 13.6Nm of peak torque output. Yamaha has mated this engine to a 5-speed gearbox with a wet, multiple-disc clutch.
The Japanese-based two-wheeler manufacturer recently discontinued the Ray scooter as well. Yamaha is most likely to replace their first scooter in India with their Cygnus Ray ZR model. The all-new scooter was showcased at the recently concluded 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Recently, the Japanese-based two-wheeler manufacturer discontinued several of their slow-selling products. Yamaha also showcased several new products at the Auto Expo and would introduce them in due course of time.
