2017 Dakar Rally: Yamaha Team All Set For The Challenge
The 2017 edition of the Dakar Rally will see the quartet from Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally team is all set for the challenge.
The biggest adventure in the annual rally calendar, the 2017 edition of the Dakar Rally will be held in Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina. The Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team of Helder Rodrigues, Adrien Van Beveren, Alessandro Botturi and Rodney Faggotter have been training intensely with countless kilometres around the world in preparation for the prestigious event.
The quartet from Yamalube Yamaha team for the Dakar rally are all set for the challenge to be thrown at them at the 2017 Dakar Rally. The Yamaha riders will battle as a key player in the prestigious annual event under the able guidance of team manager Jose Leloir and sports manager Jordi Arcarons.
The Yamaha riders will set off for their two-week-long adventure in South America with their heavily updated WR450F rally machine.
Helder Rodrigues will lead from the front for the Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team for 2017 edition of the Dakar Rally. This will be the 11th outing for Rodrigues at the prestigious event for the Portuguese rider and will be looking to make the most of it with his vast experience.
After finishing sixth at the 2016 edition of the Dakar Rally, Adrien Van Beveren will look to push the limits and go up the ladder in the next edition.
Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team's Alessandro Botturi will be competing in his sixth installment of the Dakar Rally. He has been working hard after his injury in the 2016 edition of Dakar Rally, the Italian will try to make his 2017 outing the most successful one.
Rodney Faggoter will round of the team for the Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team, the Australian will look to assist his team and get close to the top as much as possible.
Apart from the Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team, Yamaha's presence in the rally is strengthened by Xavier de Soultrait and Italy's Manuel Lucchese. Xavier de Soultrait has impressed taking the 2016 FIM Bajas World Cup title and will be riding a rally-modified WR450F machine in the Super Production class.
Yamaha will boast of a strong mix of talent and experience across the 2017 Dakar Rally's racing classes. Yamaha will be represented by 22 quad riders and three UTV crews.
Seven-time Dakar finisher Camelia Liparoti, who will be racing a Yamaha YFM700R in the quad class. Also on the list of Yamaha riders are former Dakar Rally winners Rafal Sonik, Ignacio Casale and Josef Machacek.
