Currently, Francesco Bagnaia rides for Team Aspar Mahindra. Bagnaia was the first rider to deliver Mahindra its maiden Moto3 victory. In the 2016 Moto3 Championship, Francesco Bagnaia is fourth overall and has secured four podiums so far.

The Moto2 Championship utilises a common sourced engine, in the form of Honda's CBR600RR engine. Teams are allowed to tweak and develop the chassis and aerodynamics.
