Vespa GTS300 To Launch In Indian Market By Mid-2017
Vespa GTS 300 scooter will be launched in the Indian market sometime during mid-2017. The Vespa GTS 300 model will be their most powerful scooter offering in the Indian market.
Piaggio Group recently introduced their Vespa 946 and Vespa 70th Anniversary Edition scooters. Now, the Italian-based two-wheeler manufacturer plans to introduce the Vespa GTS 300 scooter in India. The Vespa GTS 300 will be introduced sometime during mid-2017.
Previously, Piaggio Group showcased the Vespa GTS 300 scooter on multiple occasions in India. The Vespa GTS 300 was seen for the first time in India at the 2014 Auto Expo. It was followed by a showcase at the 2015 India Bike Week.
Vespa GTS 300 scooter is powered by a 278cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine produces 20.91bhp, along with 22.3Nm of torque, and is mated to a CVT gearbox. GTS 300 can attain a top speed of 128 km/h and returns a fuel efficiency figure of 28 km/l.
Expect the Vespa GTS 300 to bear an expensive price tag, in the range of Rs. 4 lakh and above. The Italian-based manufacturer also plans on introducing SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) and CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units in India, however, this is not expected anytime soon.
