Piaggio India planned on introducing two extremely special scooters in the country. The Vespa 946 scooter and a 70th Anniversary Edition scooter were to be launched on October 25th. Now, the Italian-based manufacturer has postponed the launch of both models.
No reason for postponing the launch has been expressed. Vespa India, however, has confirmed that both scooters would launch sometime during early November. An exact date has not been provided and we expect them to launch during the festive season itself.
Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter will be an extremely exclusive model. It will be offered in the Indian market as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) model. Overall design of Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter is inspired from their 1946 Vespa scooters.
So far, no details of the Vespa 70th Anniversary edition has been revealed. It is most likely to be one of their existing scooter with special paint job and equipment. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to Vespa launching both scooters in the Indian market.
