Bajaj To Launch 7 New Bikes In 2016-17 — Here Is The List
Bajaj Auto is upbeat with its product lineup, and its technology and quality have grown strong. Bajaj is looking to consolidate its market share in all three categories of Commuter, Sports and Executive.
Bajaj will enter every bike segment to grab a bigger pie in the market share, here is the list of new bikes to be launched in 2016 and 2017.
1. Bajaj Avenger 400
With the success of the re-launch of the Avenger range of motorcycles, Bajaj wants to power the Avenger with the 400cc unit which will be seen in the upcoming Pulsar CS400. The current Avenger with the 150cc and the 220cc motor has done well in terms of sales.
It has captured the imagination of executive commuter segment. The Avenger 400 will further increase the enthusiasm for adventure travel and the 400cc mill will assist in travelling far and wide.
The Avenger 400 will be powered by the 375cc engine which will churn out 43bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. The platform and technology will be shared from the KTM which whom Bajaj is a partner.

2. Bajaj Dominar 400
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has created ripples among the mid-priced sports bike buyers and Bajaj wants to add muscle to the RS variant. At the recent Delhi Auto Show 2016, the Pulsar SS400 concept was showcased and has the striking resemblance to its younger sibling the RS200.
The new Pulsar RS400 will be powered by the 375cc engine that is expected to punch out 43bhp of power and 35Nm of torque and mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

3. Bajaj Pulsar CS400 (Bajaj Dominar 400)
The CS stands for cruiser sports and that's what the new Pulsar CS400 is expected to do. The Pulsar CS400 is most awaited as it brings in a new flavour Pulsar brand. This will help increase its foothold in the sports segment.
The Pulsar CS400 will be powered by the familiar 375cc engine which will continue to be the base engine for all 400 capacity bikes from Bajaj and mated to the 6-speed gearbox.
Bajaj will create a new segment with the launch of the Pulsar CS400, the styling and stance of the bike have been built keeping in mind of a cruiser.

4. Bajaj Pulsar CS200
Bajaj has always offered a model in both high displacement and lower displacement category, so even the CS400 gets the same treatment.Bajaj will launch lower capacity Pulsar CS200 and the bike is expected to be leaner and sleeker than its elder sibling. Here again, the engine running the CS200 will be the same as the RS200, a 199.5cc unit which produces 24.3bhp of power and 18.6Nm of torque, mated to 6-speed gearbox.

5. Bajaj Pulsar 150NS
One of the exciting bike segment in India is the 150cc category, the Pulsar 150NS will be the lighter platform chassis and is powered by 149.5cc, which develops 16.8bhp of power and 13Nm of torque and mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The main intention is to cater to the 150cc segment and the 150NS will be required to address the requirement.

6. Bajaj Pulsar 180NS
On the lines of the 150NS, the Pulsar 180NS will be the same design and chassis called the perimeter frame and will be more of the 200NS than the 150NS, which is a lot smaller in size.
The Pulsar 180NS will be powered by 180cc engine and is expected to produce 19-21bhp of power and 16Nm of torque and will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

7. Bajaj 2016 Platina
Catering to the competitive commuter segment, Bajaj will launch the new 2016 Platina. The new Platina will come with new graphics and body panels with new colour options.
The power to the Platina will be same as the 102cc engine and develop 8bhp of power and 8.6Nm of torque, however, this will be tweaked to suit the current technology.
