UM Motorcycles To Introduce Two New Models In India By Mid-2017

UM Motorcycles plans on introducing two completely new models in the Indian market. Both models are expected to make their debut by mid-2017. The new motorcycles from the manufacturer will cater to varying segments in the country.

Rajeev Mishra, UM India Director has confirmed that two new models will be introduced in India. And one of the upcoming motorcycles will cater to the 200cc segment, while the second will compete in the 400cc category.

Both models that will launch during mid-2017, will be cruisers. UM Motorcycles wants to focus on the cruiser segment for a minimum of two years. Post that, we could witness new models that will explore other segments in the Indian market.

At the 2016 Auto Expo, UM Motorcycles showcased three cruiser bikes: Renegade Commando, Renegade Sports, and Renegade Classic. The Renegade Commando and Renegade Sports will be delivered to customers by August-end. UM Motorcycles will also be commence bookings for its Renegade Classic sometime during the festive season.

All three models by UM Motorcycles will be powered by a standard engine and pricing is extremely competitive. The Renegade Commando, Renegade Sports, and Renegade Classic will compete with the Royal Enfields' and the Bajaj Avenger models.
