UM Motorcycles To Launch Renegade Commando On Feb 3
UM Motorcycles India has confirmed that their very first product will be launched at 2016 Auto Expo. The American based two-wheeler manufacturer will be introducing its Renegade Commando model on February 3, 2016.
The all-new motorcycles will be built completely in India. UM Motorcycles has partnered with Lohia Auto for local manufacture of the products. Renegade Commando will be introduced in two variants for the Indian market at 2016 Auto Expo.
From the teaser image, UM Motorcycles has provided the Renegade Commando with dual exhaust outlets. The motorcycle will be entering the cruiser bike segment, which is currently dominated by Royal Enfield and Bajaj Auto.
Pricing will be crucial for UM Motorcycles in India. Keeping in mind that the motorcycle will be manufactured locally, we expect the price of both models to be extremely competitive. Expect Renegade Commando to be priced between Rs. 1.25 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh ex-showroom for the base variant.
UM Motorcycles will most likely not equip their Renegade Commando with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). The decision is most likely to be made keeping in mind the pricing of the cruiser bikes. Currently, neither Royal Enfield or Bajaj Auto offers ABS as an option on its cruiser bikes.
