UM Motorcycles To Launch Its Third Cruiser In India By Mid-2017
UM Motorcycles showcased three cruiser motorcycles at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Renegade Sports S and Renegade Commando have been launched in India. So far, the American-based manufacturer has delayed launching its Renegade Classic in the country.
Previously, UM Motorcycles planned on launching the Renegade Classic sometime during the festive season. They have now pushed it back to mid-2017 due to manufacturing constraints.
Both Renegade Sports S and Renegade Commando have witnessed an overwhelming response. As of today, UM Motorcycles has received over 4,000 bookings pan India. These are impressive numbers for a completely unknown brand setting foot in India for the first time.
The American-based two-wheeler manufacturer promises to launch a new product or variant every six months. UM Motorcycles will launch Renegade Classic as their third model in India. They also promise to focus on the cruiser segment for a minimum of two years.
Renegade Classic is also confirmed to sport a fuel injected engine, instead of a carburettor. UM Motorcycles is also looking at equipping their cruiser with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). At the moment, it is unclear whether these new additions will be standard or optional.
