TVS Motor Company Records Growth In Total Turnover
TVS Motor Company has recorded a total revenue growth of 20.6 percent for the second quarte of 2016-17.
TVS Motor Company has witnessed a revenue growth of 20.6 percent for the quarter ended in September 2016.
TVS registered a total revenue of Rs 3726.31 crore in the quarter ending in September 2016, compared to Rs 3089.42 crore during the same period of time in 2015.
The firm's Profit After Tax (PAT) registered a growth of 31.1 percent to Rs. 234.04 crore in the second quarter of 2016-17.
The Profit After Tax has seen a growth of 33.4 percent to Rs 177.39 crore in the quarter as compared to the Rs 132.96 crore during the same period of time last year.
During the period of the second quarter in September 2016, TVS Motor recorded a growth of 23.1 percent in overall two wheeler sales including the export.
Motorcycle sales grew by 30.2 percent to 3.32 lakh units in the second quarter of 2016-17 as compared to the 2.55 lakh of the second quarter of 2015-16.
The sales of scooters also saw a hike of 2.29 lakh units in the second quarter of 2016-17. Whereas 2.18 lakh units were sold in the period of second quarter 2015-16.
TVS Motor Company also exported 1.12 lakh units of two and three wheelers in the second quarter under review whereas in the 2015-16 second quarter TVS exported 1.27 lakh units. Three wheelers also registered a sales figure of 20,401 units in the second quarter of 2015-16.
