TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Is The Indian Motorcycle Of The Year (IMOTY) 2017
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is crowned as the Indian Motorcycle Of The Year (IMOTY) 2017 award.
Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company's flagship model, the Apache RTR 200 4V wins the Indian Motorcycle Of The Year (IMOTY) 2017 award.
The coveted award was presented to the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V after a group of leading automotive journalists tested the motorcycle based on various parameters.
The motorcycles were judged on the basis of parameters such as price, mileage, design, comfort, performance, safety, usability, technical innovation, value for money and adaptability for Indian road conditions.
The nominees for the IMOTY award included Bajaj V15, DSK Benelli TnT 25, Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Hero Achiever 150, Honda Navi, Honda CB Hornet 160R, Kawasaki Versys 650 ABS, Royal Enfield Himalayan, TVS Victor UM Renegade Commando/Sport S and Yamaha Saluto RX.
TVS Motor Company launched its flagship motorcycle, the Apache RTR 200 4V in January 2016. The motorcycle features design cues inspired from the Draken X21 Concept showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.
The Apache RTR 200 4V draws power from the 197.75cc oil-cooled engine producing 20.3bhp and 18.1Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle can sprint from 0-60km/h in just 3.95 seconds.
Currently, the motorcycle is offered in carburetted version, but TVS will soon introduce the fuel-injected and ABS variant of the motorcycle to the Indian market.
The motorcycle is based on the double cradle split Syncro stiff frame which aids in superior handling in corners. The Apache RTR 200 4V is available with a price tag of Rs 88,990 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
