One of the most awaited launches waiting to take place in the Indian two-wheeler industry is that of the new TVS Apache RTR 200. The launch is scheduled to take place on January 20, 2016. Before the launch however, images of the motorcycle have surfaced online.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 will be powered by 197cc, oil cum air-cooled single cylinder engine. The engine is expected to produce 20bhp and 18Nm of torque. The motorcycle's engine will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox and is expected to do 60km/h from a standstill in 3.9 seconds.
Once launched in India, the TVS Apache RTR 200 will compete with the KTM Duke 200 and the Pulsar AS200. Since this segment is dominated by KTM, we can expect TVS to price the Apache RTR 200 aggressively.
On the features front, the Apache RTR 200 will come with telescopic forks up front, disc brakes for the front and rear, fully digital meter console, daytime running lights, monoshock at the rear, and more.
