TVS Apache RTR 200 FI, ABS, Pirelli Launch Delayed
TVS has delayed the launch of Apache RTR 200 FI, ABS and optional Pirelli tyres to December 2016. This delay is due to the high demand for Apache RTR 200 in export markets. The motorcycle that is to export is the ABS+FI variant.
TVS is planning to meet the export demands first. After that, once they have increased the production capacity, the company will launch the variant in India. This is because TVS is looking to increase its production and now, the company is the second largest exporter in India.
The top-spec variant of Apache RTR 200 is powered by a 197.75 cc single-cylinder 4-V engine which produces 20.7bhp at 8,500 rpm and 18.1Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The carb variant produces a bit less power than the FI variant, 20.2bhp.
RTR 200 is equipped with telescopic front suspension and mono-suspension at the rear. The motorcycle has a 90/90 section front and 130/70 section rear tyres. The stopping power comes from 270mm disc at front and 240mm disc at the rear.
The Apache RTR 200 with FI, dual-channel ABS and Pirelli tyres is priced at Rs.1.27 lakh. The carbureted Apache is priced at Rs. 1.08 lakh, on-road Bengaluru.
