TVS Apache RTR 200 Launch Date Confirmed For 20 January
TVS has confirmed the launch date for the much awaited Apache RTR 200 motorcycle for the January 20, 2015. The TVS Apache RTR 200 will be built by the two-wheeler manufacturer in its plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
The Apache motorcycle has been spied numerous times till date being tested, which meant that the launch date was around the corner. Once launched, the TVS Apache RTR 200 will compete with the KTM Duke 200, Bajaj Pulsar, and the Benelli TNT25.
Engine Specification & Transmission
TVS has done a good job in keeping the motorcycle's engine specification well hidden. What we can tell you at the moment is that the Apache RTR 200 will come with an air and liquid cooled engine, that promises to perform better than the KTM's liquid cooled engine.
TVS could tune the single-cylinder power house to produce above 25bhp and 22Nm of torque. The Apache's engine will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
Features
Again, TVS has not revealed much about the motorcycle's features. Only select features such as the LED tail lamp, fully digital instrument cluster, two-piece clip on handlebar, petal discs, telescopic front suspension and mono shock at the rear, and split seats have been revealed in the spy pictures.
The 200cc segment has been dominated by the KTM Duke 200 since the motorcycle launched. Will TVS be able to de-throne the Austrian brand once launched? Stay tuned for more updates.
