Video: TVS Akula 310 Prototype Caught Testing
A camouflaged TVS Akula prototype has been caught on a rider's helmet cam. We had earlier brought you the first ever images of the motorcycle being tested on the roads.
The video shows that, as soon as the test-rider realised that he was being filmed, he increased the pace and disappeared from the scene.
Even though the rider went on a high-speed chase for the next few minutes, he couldn't find the prototype again.
However, the rider who spotted the test mule said, the motorcycle featured twin projector headlamps, alloy wheels identical to the BMW G310R, and a good exhaust note.
The motorcycle is currently shown in the TVSs' official website. This along with recent spy images indicate that the launch of the Akula 310 might be just around the corner.
The Akula will borrow the engine from the G310R. The 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is good to produce 31bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque. We expect TVS to equip the Akula with the 6-speed gearbox from the BMW G310R.
