Triumph Motorcycles revamped its entire modern classic range globally. Now the British-based manufacturer has trademarked the 'Speed Twin' name. An all-new motorcycle is most likely to be launched with the Speed Twin moniker as early as 2017 in several international markets.
Recently, the modern classic segment from Triumph Motorcycles received a significant update. The new Street Twin, Bonneville T120, and Thruxton models were launched. The motorcycles received new engines and several riding aids to improve riding experience on a Triumph.
If you are wondering what the Speed Twin is, get in line as nothing apart from the name is confirmed. We know that Triumph Motorcycles name their bikes with higher performance as Speed and lower performance models with the title of Street.
We believe that the Speed Twin will be a more performance oriented version of the Street Twin model. In reality, this would make complete sense and would widen their product range. The Speed Twin model would act as a mini-Thruxton model for the smaller engine displacement option.
Triumph Speed Twin could use the 900cc parallel twin engine, which will be re-tuned for extracting more performance. Several parts and components could be stripped down for better riding dynamics. Expect several special parts that improve engine performance on the Speed Twin.
