Triumph 2016 Thruxton R Launching In India On June 3

At the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, Triumph Motorcycles showcased its 2016 range of motorcycles. Triumph Motorcycles unveiled the all-new Street Twin, Bonneville T120, and Thruxton models. Now on June 3, 2016, British-based two-wheeler maker will launch the Thruxton R model.

2016 Thruxton R is a cafe racer inspired motorcycle from Triumph Motorcycles. The 2016 model bears little to no resemblance to its predecessor. An all-new design, as well as engine with several unique and riding improvement, have been included.

Powering the 2016 Thruxton R is the same engine that is used in the Bonneville T120 with massive changes. An all-new 1,200cc parallel twin, liquid cooled engine will be used in the Thruxton R. The engine is developed to produce 96.55bhp, along with 112Nm of peak torque.

Triumph will equip the 2016 Truxton R with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), slip-assist clutch, traction control, and much more. Fully adjustable Showa front forks and Ohlins rear suspension will be standard equipment. The 2016 Thruxton R will ride on sticky Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres.

Only three colour options will be available in the 2016 Thruxton R model. Diablo Red, Silver Ice, and Matt Black colour options will be on offer. In the United States of America, Thruxton R costs USD 14,500 or Rs. 9.74 lakh India equivalent.
