T.T. Raghunathan & Varadarajan Buy The Triumph Thruxton R
T.T. Raghunathan and T.T. Varadarajan are popular individuals within the two-wheeler community. Both of them have picked up the Thruxton R models from Triumph Motorcycles in Tamil Nadu. Present at the handover of the bikes was Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India.
T.T. Raghunathan is known as the 'Bonneville Man', due to his love for motorcycles. He owns a lounge-garage, which has several displayed motorcycle from the modern and yester years. Joining back the cafe racer culture was the main reason for choosing the Thruxton R.
On the other hand, T.T. Varadarajan is known for introducing California Superbike School in India. He owns a garage which has a collection of ten motorcycles. The collection includes the Daytona 675R, 2014 Thruxton, along with 2016 Thruxton R models from Triumph.
Powering the Thruxton R is a 1,200cc parallel twin, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produce 96bhp, along with 112Nm of peak torque and is mated to 6-speed transmission. Thruxton R weighs an astounding 203 kilograms, which is heavy for a corner carving tool.
Recently, the British-based two-wheeler manufacturer announced that it has sold over 3,000 units within a span of 30 months, which is phenomenal. Triumph Motorcycles also updated its entire modern classic range, which consists of Street Twin, Bonneville T120, and Thruxton R.
