The touring motorcycle segment in India have always been of least interest for the Indian motorcycle manufacturers. Although, Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan but it was more of an adventure motorcycle.
There are brands such as BMW, Triumph and Ducati which offer world-class touring motorcycles. But they are expensive too. So what one can do to quench the thirst of a touring motorcycle? Build one yourself!
Yes, Gixxer Club Pondicherry has uploaded a few images of a modified Suzuki Gixxer 155 which looks like a mean touring machine. The front of the motorcycle features twin headlamp with half fairing and a visor to prevent wind blast.
The modified Gixxer features aftermarket parts such as custom rear view mirrors, chrome handlebars, crash guards and sides of the engine includes weird triple pipe elements.
The rear section of the motorcycle is completely revamped. He number plate recess and turn indicators have been mounted on a customised tyre hugger which looks awkward.
No details on the engine have been revealed so we can assume that the modified Gixxer 15 is powered by the same 155cc engine producing 14.5bhp and 14Nm of torque. So apart from the looks, there are no details on the performance of the modified motorcycle.
