Suzuki Recalls Over 54,000 Units Of The Access 125 Scooter
Suzuki has made an announcement to recall 54,740 units of the newly launched Access 125 scooter in the Indian market. The models recalled have been manufactured between March 8 and June 22, 2016.
Suzuki will inspect and replace the rear axle shaft as a precautionary measure. Starting today (July 13), Suzuki will contact those owners whose scooters are affected.
Suzuki will replace the rear axle shaft for free of cost and will also offer free periodic maintenance service to those customers who will report to the dealership for replacement.
According to a Suzuki spokesperson, "In pursuance of Suzuki's commitment to customer satisfaction and as a matter of abundant precaution and safety, we have decided to undertake this service campaign on the New Access 125 scooters to address issues of rear axle/wheel stability that has been identified in some of these scooters."
The Suzuki Access 125 was launched earlier in March this year and is one of the best selling models for the Japanese brand. The scooter is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5bhp and 9.8Nm of torque. The Suzuki Access 125 returns a mileage of 53km/l and costs approximately Rs. 58,000/- on-road (Delhi).
