Himalayan To Be Recalled By Royal Enfield Due To Engine Issues

Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan a while ago, it was previously showcased prior to the 2016 Auto Expo. The Indian manufacturer confirmed that the adventure bike was built completely from the ground up. Now, reports suggest that the Himalayan will be recalled.

The Himalayan is now being reportedly plagued with several issues. An issue with the engine and clutch is the reason for recall. So far, the information is not confirmed by the manufacturer and we expect an official announcement soon.

The clutch assembly and Rocker Shaft seems to have an issue in the Himalayan's engine. Royal Enfield will surely not be charging its customers for the replacement. Authorised service centres will carry out the repair and part update free of cost.

At this moment, it is not confirmed how many Himalayan models are going to be affected by the recall. Customers have been complaining that the engine powering the Himalayan is noisy. The tappets within the engine have been adjusted, however, nothing has improved the condition.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is priced at Rs. 1.63 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai. Only two colour options are on offer in the form of Snow and Granite. Stay tuned for more details and updates on the Himalayan adventure bike.
