Gulf Petrochem Launches Repsol As Premium Lubricant For India

Gulf Petrochem will be offering Indian customers the chance to use a premium lubricant in their vehicles. Repsol lubricants enter the Indian market primarily in the two-wheeler category and will eventually foray into other segments. India is the largest two-wheeler market in the world and Repsol had to enter this market.

Repsol lubricants will be marketed and manufactured by GP Petroleums in India. The Spanish-based lubricant manufacturer will take on the role of a premium brand in the country. In the coming few months, Repsol will also introduce their lubricants for passenger cars and heavy duty vehicles.

Indian Cricketer and captain of IPL team Gujarat Lions, Suresh Raina was present at the launch of Repsol lubricants. Suresh Raina is elected as the brand ambassador for the Spanish-based lubricant in the Indian market.

Also, present at the launch was Carlos Pascual, International Manager Lubricants for Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific of Repsol. He was accompanied by Sudhir Goyel, Managing Director, Gulf Petrochem Group.

Currently Repsol will offer the following range of lubricants in India:

• Repsol Moto Rider 4T 10W-30, JASO MA2, for two-wheelers
• Repsol Motomatic 10W-30, JASO MB, for scooters
• Repsol Elite Neo XTI 5W-40, API SN-fully synthetics, for passenger vehicles
• Repsol Diesel Turbo THPD MID SAPS XTI 15W-40, API CJ4, for heavy duty vehicles
