Relaunch The Iconic Yamaha RD 350 Please — Here's A Petition Too
No doubt that any old-school biker, along with a few modern day enthusiasts would agree that the Yamaha RD 350 was indeed an iconic motorcycle. The exhaust note and the mesmerizing mix of 2T oil and petrol could easily be called as 'Sweet Smell of Symphony'.
The motorcycle also has a lot of fan following and one person in particular, who has seeked the help of Change.Org to write a petition to Yamaha requesting the company to relaunch this iconic motorcycle.
The petitioner has requested Yamaha to stick to the old-school design language, but come up with a modern, four-stroke engine (the Yamaha R3's would be great!). The motorcycle could also feature modern tech, such as disc brakes at both ends, USD forks, ABS, etc.
If Yamaha is listening, launching the RD will be a great idea! But again, the RD 350 is an icon because it is no more in production. It's like asking to bring Elvis Presley back, but with electro-techno stuff.
