Premium Motorcycles To Lead The Traction Control System Market
The global market for traction control system (TCS) is growing by the day and is expected to grow at nine percent by 2020 according to a report. The TCS market will be mainly led by the premium motorcycles.
Presently, the TCS market is at a beginners stage and largely restricted to premium touring and racing motorcycles. The motorcycle traction control system is an optional safety feature that correlates the anti-lock braking system (ABS) to offer higher stability during cornering and tilting of the bike.
The top vendors for TCS in the global markets are BMW Motorrad, Bosch, Continental, Ducati, and Kawasaki. China and India dominate the Asia Pacific region with motorcycles; however, these are limited to lower powered bikes. The premium motorcycles are slowly witnessing growth in these countries which could contribute to the TCS market.
Most of the premium motorcycles which feature the TCS are from the Americas and the Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) region. One of the top Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) that contribute to the Americas region is BMW.
