MV Agusta, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is looking to expand its Indian portfolio. The motorcycle maker is gearing up to launch the Brutale 800 street bike in India during 2017, but what about the Brutale 800 RR?
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR was first unveiled during EICMA 2016 that took place earlier this month. The motorcycle is without doubt one of the best looking street bikes out there.
The bodywork on the Agusta Brutale 800 RR has received significant upgrades, including MV's signature exhaust system.
On the performance front, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR comes with a 798cc, in-line three-cylinder engine that now punches out 138bhp and 86Nm of peak torque with the help of a 6-speed gearbox.
MV has managed to squeeze out more power, thanks to an updated ride-by-wire throttle system. Also, MV has managed to keep engine noise and vibration levels down by using a new cam-chain tensioner, camshafts, valve guides, and harmonic damper.
The standard equipment checklist consists of a new eight-level traction control system, Bosch ABS 9 Plus unit, and a 2.0 quickshifter, along with a hydraulic slipper clutch.
The inverted front forks are supplied by Marzocchi, an Italian company that has compression and preload adjustment. The Agusta Brutale 800 RR comes with a steering damper with eight settings too. Braking duties are taken care of by Brembos.
So coming to the point - when will the Brutale 800 RR come to India? Keeping in mind that the Brutale 800 is set to launch during mid-2017, and MV having launched limited edition motorcycles like the F3 800 RC, 2017 seems to be the year.
