Marquez Crashes & Dislocates Shoulder During FP3 At Austrian GP

Two-time MotoGP Champion, Marc Marquez has suffered a horrific accident. Repsol Honda rider has been taken to the hospital for evaluation. Marquez has also suffered a dislocated left shoulder, which could force him out of Sunday's race in Austria at the Red Bull Ring.

Marc Marquez crashed at turn three during free practice three at the Austrian circuit. The Honda rider could not get this RC213V to stop and almost hit Dani Pedrosa's rear. He missed Pedrosa and crashed out heavily, injuring his left shoulder.

Before crashing out, Marc Marquez set the ninth fastest lap time. He seemed poised to challenge the Factory Ducati riders. So far, Honda riders have been struggling for pace and grip at the Austrian GP.

Marquez has a 48 point advantage over Jorge Lorenzo, while his lead over Rossi extends to 59 points. Doctors and MotoGP officials are most likely to evaluate the injury. Riders are known to ride with dislocated shoulders and injury, Marquez is a tough racer and is sure to take it as a challenge.

Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi could collect vital points if Marquez is declared unfit to race. It is unclear at this moment if Marc Marquez will make it for qualifying or not. If he does not he will still take tenth place on grid owing to his combined time that would put him into Q2.
