Mahindra’s All-New Scooter Launching Soon In India
Mahindra and Mahindra is all set to launch an all-new scooter in the country. The name and displacement of the new scooter by Mahindra has not been revealed so far. Only the codename of the upcoming scooter 'G108' has been revealed at this point.
The Indian manufacturer has done an excellent job of concealing all development and testing of the scooter. So far, no spy pics or other references to a new scooter from Mahindra have been leaked. It seems like something interesting is in store from Mahindra.
Currently, Mahindra's scooter range consists of the Duro DZ, the Rodeo UZO 125, and the Gusto model. Mahindra's Duro DZ and Rodeo UZO125 are powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. The Gusto, however, received an all-new 109.6cc single-cylinder engine.
There is a high possibility that the all-new scooter will be powered by a similar engine that does duty in their Gusto scooter. Mahindra's designers could provide a lighter and stylish exterior bodywork. The new scooter could be aimed at younger scooter buyers in the country.
Both Honda and Yamaha are currently using the Ray and Activa platform respectively. These scooters have spawned several models and are doing extremely well in the market. Mahindra too would like to exploit its Gusto scooter with more derivatives.
