Luis Salom Passes Away Post Moto2 Free Practice Accident
Spanish rider, Luis Salom has passed away in an unfortunate incident. Luis Salom was part of the Moto2 Championship and had a horrific accident at Turn 12 of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The 24-year-old Spanish rider received medical aid of the highest standards. Unfortunately, when he was admitted to the local hospital, Salom had a cardiac arrest. The Spanish rider underwent surgery, however, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased.
Luis Salom made his debut in the 125cc category back in 2009. His illustrious career witnessed 25 podiums along with nine Moto3 victories. The 2012 Moto3 Championship saw Luis Salom finish second overall. The 2014 season witnessed an enthralling fight which saw him end up third.
The Spanish rider stood three times on podium in the Moto2 Championship. Luis Salom was a strong rider and rode excellent for his age. During the 2016 Championship, his best finish was second at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
