Lohia Auto launched electric rickshaws in India and goes by the name 'Narain'. The Narain E-Rickshaws are built for the Indian roads and commuting style in the country.
Lohia Auto is bringing two models to start off - passenger and cargo - called Narain and Narain LC and more models are in the pipeline.
The Narain e-rickshaws are powered by 1950 watt electric motor and is equipped with higher battery capacity. On a single charge, the passenger e-rickshaw can run for 100kms and max speed of 25 kmph and has a good ground clearance of 2040mm.
As for Narain LC, the cargo e-rickshaw can be used to carry cylinders, cartons, water bottles, or as ice cream shop, the specs remain the same for the cargo variant.
The 4-spoke wheels in the Narain provide equal distribution of weight and performs well in tough terrains. The e-rickshaw can carry four passengers and has a good amount of space and legroom.
The e-rickshaw will bring down the pollution levels considerably low and can be great in cities where pollution levels are at the highest. It has no sound, no pollution, no petrol, and comes with 2 years in warranty.
