KTM CEO, Stefan Pierer had mentioned at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2016, that they are looking to bring the KTM in 500cc and 800c, however, it is to seen of these will be manufactured in India. Bajaj currently manufactures the Duke 200 and 390 and the RC 200 and 390.

By manufacturing in India, the cost pricing will be much lower than importing the same, KTM has seen a lot of success in India and has been best selling fast bikes in India.

The bike seen in the image could be a Duke 890 or 590, 90 being their branding of the KTM even though the actual displacement is different.

The headlamp and the taillamp look very much like the 690, the brakes of Brembo Monobloc calipers and the front fork also seem to be a carry over from the 690.

With the mid-size engine segment getting a lot of attention in the country and KTM has captured the imagination of the youths. The twin cylinder offering will be a welcome break for most the bike enthusiasts as we have not seen much twin-cylinders in this capacity engines.

KTM could rival the yet to be launched BMW series of bikes, TVS will be manufacturing the same for the global market. BMW will have to catch up since we are yet to see a bike on road.
