With BMW Motorrad geared up to enter entry-level adventure segment, Kawasaki will make the competition even more interesting with its Versys 250. The German manufacturer is extensively testing its new G 310 GS in Europe.
Reports suggest that the Kawasaki tourer is under development and it has codename of either LE250B / LE250C. Earlier the company had given a similar codename to the bigger Versys 650 (LE 650C).
The entry-level model could be launched in two variants - Versys 250 and Versys 300. We can expect the model to unveil at the EICMA show next month.
Both models will be having the engines borrowed from Ninja 250R and Ninja 300, which means a parallel-twin engine producing around 35bhp.
