Rajini Secures Win At 2016 China Superbike Championship
We had earlier reported that K Rajini would be taking part in the 2016 China Superbike Championship. Usually this opportunity is given to talents, in an attempt to showcase their skills. In most cases it is not possible, as riders are given a race or maximum two to display their talents.
K Rajini has made the most of his opportunity by securing first place in Race 2. The race was contested around the Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC). Over 30 riders participated in the 2016 China Superbike round.
In Race 1, K Rajini had set the third fastest lap time and seemed destined to grab a podium. Unfortunately, his bike succumbed to overheating issue as well as a failure of the lean angle sensor. Race 1 saw the 'Fastest Indian' on two-wheels retire into the pits.
Rajini rode for the China Kawasaki Team onboard a 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R. He is familiar with the machine as he races a similar one in the 2016 Malaysian Superbike Championship. He is the reigning and defending Champion of the Malaysian Superbike Championship.
The racer from Chennai will be participating in one more round of the 2016 China Superbike Championship. It will be interesting to see if the K Rajini could maintain his winning streak. He will surely receive tremendous support from Kawasaki Racing Team in his endeavours.
