Indian Motorcycles has unveiled its all-new 2016 edition model. The Indian Chieftain gets the Dark Horse treatment this time around. This is the second model within Indian Motorcycles lineup to receive the elusive Dark Horse treatment.
Chieftain trades in all of its chrome for blacked out parts and components on the Chieftain Dark Horse version. A matte black paint scheme lens a menacing look and persona to the 2016 Chieftain Dark Horse. The new colour option is called the Thunder Black Smoke.
Powering the Indian Chieftain Dark Horse is a Thunder Stroke V-Twin engine. It produces 96bhp, along with 140Nm of peak torque output. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, which means that no mechanical changes have been carried out.
The cruiser bike gets Bluetooth connectivity with a premium entertainment system. Indian Motorcycles offers push-button convenience for the saddlebag locking mechanism, height adjust windshield, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
In the United States of America, Indian Motorcycles has priced the Chieftain Dark Horse at USD 21,999. This roughly translates to Rs. 14.83 lakh equivalent in the Indian market. At this moment, it is unclear if Indian Motorcycles would bring the Chieftain Dark Horse to India.
