Honda Navi Base Model To Cost In Excess Of Rs. 50,000 On-Road
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India launched its highly anticipated Navi scooter at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Navi seems to bear a reasonable price tag of Rs. 39,500 ex-showroom (Mumbai). With the recent announcement of two-wheeler taxes being increased, Honda could miss out on buyers for the Navi.
The inclusion of road tax and insurance is expected to take the Navi's price significantly higher. Expect the scooter to be priced at Rs. 46,600 post taxes and insurance. The on-road price for Honda's Navi will vary from state-to-state owing to different tax structure setup.
As always, Honda dealerships will be charging extra for basic accessories. Number plate, side-stand, and leg guard will cost an additional amount of Rs. 5,000. Honda dealerships across the country charge extra for basic accessories even with their existing model line-up.
So expect the fully accessorised Honda Navi to cost in excess of Rs. 60,000 on-road. The Navi by Honda is being offered as a base that can be heavily accessorised into a dirt bike, adventure bike, and many more options.
Deliveries of the Honda Navi are expected to begin by April 2016 across India. Recently, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India confirmed that it has commenced dispatching the Navi to dealerships. Stay tuned for more updates on Honda and its upcoming products.
