Dani Pedrosa Confirmed By Honda To Race In 2016 Valencia GP
Repsol Honda has confirmed that Dani Pedrosa will ride at the 2016 Valencia GP. The Spanish rider will also take part in the post-race test with Honda for their 2017 MotoGP race machine.
Honda Racing Corporation has now confirmed that Dani Pedrosa will be returning for the final round in 2016 MotoGP Championship. Pedrosa will be returning for the 2016 Valencia GP, which is a home race for several Spanish riders.
Dani Pedrosa had sustained three fractures during free practice at the Japanese GP. He has undergone surgery on his right collarbone, right fibula, and his left foot. Pedrosa missed out on the Japanese, Australian, and Malaysian MotoGP rounds.
Hiroshi Aoyama replaced Pedrosa for the Japanese and Malaysian GP. Nicky Hayden, on the other hand, replaced Pedrosa for the Australian GP. Now, Dani Pedrosa will be back on his Repsol Honda RC213-V race machine for the Valencia GP, which is the season closer.
Honda has not faced a problem in the constructor's championship, as only the rider with maximum points is accounted for. Marquez securing 2016 MotoGP Championship has provided Honda a 21-point lead over Yamaha. Rossi and Lorenzo will have to win the Valencia GP to defeat Honda.
Both Repsol Honda riders will want to end the 2016 MotoGP Championship on a high note. Post the race both riders will commence testing on their 2017 Honda race machine. Marquez and Pedrosa will want to make the most out of their test to achieve best results for next season.
