The Honda CBR250RR made its debut in Indonesia in July 2016. Recently, the motorcycle was showcased at the Indonesian Motorcycle Show. The 250RR will be available in two variants; ABS and non-ABS.
The non-ABS version will cost about IDR 62.9m (INR 3.2 lakh) and the ABS version comes with a price tag of IDR 68.9m (INR 3.52 lakh).
The CBR250RR produces 36bhp of power at 12,500 rpm and 22.5Nm of peak torque at 10,500 rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 14.5 litres and the bike has 12V battery.
Also, according to the report, the CBR250RR is capable of doing a top whack of 168 km/h. The Japanese motorcycle is also considering to launch a range of clothing and accessories to go on sale with this sports bike.
The engine is brand new 249.7 cc PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) liquid-cooled straight-twin unit and it is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Another interesting fact is that the engine is operated via a Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) system that offers three selectable modes. The motorcycle also gets a 310mm disc at the front and 240mm at the rear with optional ABS.
As of now, Honda has no plans to launch this baby CBR in the Indian market but it will launch the Africa Twin in the country in second-quarter of 2017 as a CBU offering.
