Honda CB Unicorn 160 Could Be Discontinued, Owing To Sales
There is a high possibility that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India could discontinue its CB Unicorn 160 model. Honda’s CB Unicorn 160 has not achieved the sales in India as expected by top officials.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has an array of products on offer. Currently, the Japanese-based two-wheeler manufacturer offers two version of the Unicorn motorcycle. They are CB Unicorn 150 and the CB Unicorn models in the Indian market.
Unfortunately, Honda's CB Unicorn 160 has not witnessed sales as expected. There is now a possibility that Honda could discontinue the CB Unicorn 160. During October 2016, the CB Unicorn could manage only 26 sales, which is disastrous.
CB Unicorn 160 bears a price tag of Rs. 75,184 ex-showroom (Delhi) for the base variant. Sales have never been a strong suit for Honda's CB Unicorn 160. Owing to this predicament Honda relaunched its CB Unicorn at Rs. 69,476 ex-showroom (Delhi), which has garnered high volume sales.
The relaunched CB Unicorn has beaten the new CB Unicorn 160 in the Indian market. It does not make sense to continue selling a motorcycle that is not driving sales. Honda might as well put all their focus and energy into further improving sales of their trusted models.
