Honda showcased its concept city adventure scooter earlier at the EICMA. Many thought that, it's only a concept version of the scooter. But later, Honda went on to release a teaser video clip and made it clear, that the scooter was going to be manufactured.
Although, Honda did not reveal any technical details on the new adventure scooter, a close look at the concept model reveals that the scooter is based on 745cc, parallel-twin engine and tubular steel frame from the NC750 range.
The photos taken from Honda's design patent reveals how the production version of the scooter looks like. The scooter looks similar to the concept version, but slight modifications can be noted. The exhaust pipe, hand guards, and windscreen have been redesigned.
Honda had applied for trademarks of 'X-ADV' and 'Honda X-ADV', in February this year, and the trademarks were granted in June. So the scooter is likely to be named as X-ADV. As the scooter will be based on NC750, a similar spec-sheet is expected as that of NC750X. Producing around 54bhp and the kerb weight will be around 220kg.
