Hero Motorcycles To Receive AHO Feature By Festive Season
Hero MotoCorp. recently launched its all-new Splendor 110 iSmart motorcycle in India. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer from India now confirms that its entire motorcycle range will receive AHO (Automatic Headlamp On) feature.
The AHO feature will be introduced on Hero motorcycles by the 2016 festive season. Hero Splendor 110 iSmart is the first motorcycle to feature AHO within their portfolio. Indian Government has confirmed that AHO feature will be mandatory on all two-wheelers by April 2017.
According to studies, two-wheelers with AHO feature are more noticeable when visibility is low. In the case of oncoming vehicles as well a two-wheeler with AHO is easily noticeable. The adoption of AHO feature is expected to reduce accidents and mishaps on the road.
Currently, only KTM offers AHO feature on their RC200 and RC390 motorcycles in the Indian market. The system is rather simple, headlights stay always on when the two-wheeler is started. Once the engine of the two-wheeler is switched off the lights turn off automatically.
