Hero MotoCorp To Unveil An Exciting Motorcycle Post 2017 Dakar Rally
At the launch of Hero MotoCorp's all-new Achiever motorcycle, a special announcement was made. It is confirmed that the Indian two-wheeler giant is working on an all-new dual purpose motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp will unveil this motorcycle at the end of 2017 Dakar Rally.
Hero MotoCorp showcased several products at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. Unfortunately, none of them were dual purpose motorcycles. So it is most likely that Hero MotoCorp has been secretly developing a motorcycle for the domestic and international markets.
There is a high possibility that Hero MotoCorp has developed a production version of their Dakar Rally motorcycle. It is the ideal option as Adventure Motorcycling is a growing segment in India. Several manufacturers are planning to enter this space in the near future.
Engineering and development team at Hero MotoCorp will use its Rally experience. All-new dual purpose motorcycle will be developed from their racing experience at Dakar Rally.
This is the very first time Hero MotoCorp will be taking part as an independent team in Dakar Rally. Taking up the 2017 Dakar Rally Challenge with Hero MotoCorp will be CS Santosh and Joaquim Rodrigues.
