Ducati 959 Panigale Deliveries To Start Next Month
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati will start deliveries of its 959 Panigale sports bike In India in August. The 959 Panigale was launched in India at the 2016 India Bike Week in Goa in February.
The Ducati 959 Panigale sports bike is priced at Rs. at Rs. 14.04 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
Speaking to ETAuto, Ravi Avalur, managing director, Ducati India Pvt Ltd. said, "We will start selling the 959 next month and we have started taking bookings. We have received a tremendous response in the market for this entry level sports bike."
The 959 Panigale is powered by a 955cc liquid cooled, L-twin engine that sends 157bhp and 107.4Nm of torque through a 6-speed gearbox with quick shift to the rear wheel.
Avalur also revealed that Italian brand also plans to introduce more bikes into India. He said, "Ultimately our aim is to bring the majority of the Ducati bikes that available in the global market to India."
Ducati currently hasdelaerships in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Gurgaon and the company does plan to add a few more dealerships in other cities as well.
Avalur said, "A little premature to announce where they are but eventually our ambition is to expand countrywide into Hyderabad, Calcutta and Chennai."
