Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Launched In India At Rs. 20.06 Lakh

Ducati has launched the limited run Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak edition in India. Prices for the special edition Multistrada start at Rs. 20.06 lakh ex-showroom.

The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak was unveiled at the 2016 Pikes Peak Hillclimb event last week. Only 400 of these bikes will ever be built. The limited run bike was made to celebrate the 100th edition of the Pikes Peak hill climb.

Powering the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is a 1198.4cc L-Twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 160bhp and 136Nm of torque. All this power and torque is sent to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.

The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak uses fully adjustable Ohlins front forks and a TTX36 rear shock. Ducati has also made extensive use of carbon fibre on the bike, the best example of which is the Performance Termignoni carbon fibre silencer.

Ducati has equipped the 1200 Pikes peak with Cornering ABS, Cornering Lights on the full-LED headlight, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control and Cruise Control along with Bluetooth connectivity which allows riders to control their smartphones through the bike's switchgear.

Speaking at the launch, Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India said, "The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is a motorcycle in which touring capability meets performance. With its race inspired looks and cutting edge technology, the Pikes Peak is in a league of its own and we're sure enthusiasts will appreciate this version of the Multistrada."

The Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak Edition is available in a dedicated white red and black livery with a Ducati red chassis and is available for purchase in all of Ducati's showrooms in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
