Ducati To Expand Its Dealership Network In India
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati announced that it will expand its dealership network by opening three more outlets in India by 2017.
Ducati is currently operating in five major cities including, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune. Ducati has also opened its showroom and service centre in Ahmedabad. Ducati, Managing Director, Ravi Avalur stated that Ducati will be opening its next showroom in Kochi.
However, Avalur also mentioned that Ducati does not want to open too many dealerships to maintain quality of services. Avalur said that the cruiser market is growing in India at a rapid rate, as 6,500 motorcycles of capacity above 500cc with a price tag of more than Rs 4 lakh were sold last year.
Ducati's latest offering, the XDiavel comes with a price tag of Rs 16.93 lakh ex-showroom. One more variant of the cruiser, the XDiavel S is priced at Rs 19.70 lakh ex-showroom. With the demand for cruiser motorcycles increasing, we can see more offering in this segment in the country.
