Bosch To Manufacture Two-Wheeler ABS In Chakan, Pune From April 2017

German auto parts manufacturer Bosch is all set to start manufacturing Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for two-wheelers from April 2017 in Chakan, Pune.
Andreas Wolf, the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality at Bosch said, "We are planning to start manufacturing ABS for bikes here at our Chakan plant in Pune from April next year to meet the huge demand for such systems in the country in future."
The government had made it mandatory for all new two-wheelers above 125cc to be equipped with ABS from 2018 onwards, and for exiting vehicles from 2019 onwards.
Bosch, currently has 250 plants across 60 countries and with the plant in Chakan, the German brand is looking to manufacture 7 to 8 lakh units of ABS every year.
